As a general rule of thumb whatever you bring in with you, take with you.  Don't leave it for Dad to deal with.

All trash and recycling should fit in the barrels in the garage.  If it doesn't fit, put it in the Suburban and bring into town.  Don't leave it for the next guests.  Trash pickup is Tuesday morning.  The dump is closed on Tuesday and Thursday.

Be sure to store kayaks on the racks facing down to avoid them filling with rain, etc.

Life jackets should be rinsed in the lake and left to dry before putthing them away.  If they are put away wet, they will get moldy and smell.  Floats should be deflated and dried andput away.  The floats with motors on them need to have batteries removed and stored safely.

Sheets and pillow cases should be washed, dried and put back on the beds so they are clean and fresh for the next guests.

Dad isn't able to visit the lake house as often, so it's important that we keep things stocked.  If you notice something is running low, be sure to make sure it is replenished before you leave.  If this isnt possible, please let the next guests know.

Be sure to shovel a path on the deck from the garage to the doors.  Shovel areas where the plow doesn't get so it is accessible and safe for all visitors.
